As we mentioned this Program has either full time or part time options. Students that have competed their first level or A Level at College find it a great opportunity to progress from the completion of their college segment right into this program. If this is the choice then it will take two years to fully complete the foundation degree. This is naturally a much quicker method for the student to attain their overall goal of becoming a hairdresser.

There are some students though that cannot utilize the full time program because of various reasons. For example, they may be in the midst of a career changes and finances require they continue working at an unrelated job while in training for their new chosen career of hairdressing. Most facial shapes fall into five basic categories: oval, square, triangle, inverted triangle, or round.

So how do you find out what face shape you have?

If your face is slightly wider at the cheekbones than at the forehead or jaw, your face shape is considered to be oval. The oval face appears slightly wider at the cheek-line, tapers slightly to the chin, and is generally considered the ideal facial structure because it is flattered by virtually every hairstyle.

If you have both a wide forehead and a wide jaw line, your face is considered to be square. It may appear more rectangular if the face is narrow or more square if the face is wide. When the square face is wide, a style that adds height to the top and length with low volume on the sides is more flattering, and tends to make the best impression. You also want to consider adding bangs at the forehead and a gentle curl inward at the jaw to soften the “corners” of the square. You need to begin cutting in close proximity to you fingers at the same time cutting in a fanning motion. You will be cutting the hair ends of the V of scissors which is where the two blades meet. If you attempt to hold the scissors open too much, you will see that the scissors begin to catch. Although this is an easy technique, it takes a bit of getting use to. Not too many people will want you practicing on their hair so consider using a doll that has long hair to practice on. A great source for these is at yard sales. This type of client at least will not complain about your mistakes.

Don?t even attempt the feathering technique without the proper pair of scissors. The most favored is the medium precision and even better is a cobalt alloy with a cutting edge that is angled at 45 degrees. Don?t rush out and buy a brand new pair for the occasion if you have a relatively new set around that is about six months used. These will in fact due a much better job but we are not referring to old damaged scissors. If you attempt this style with high precision scissor, you are going to run into problem. High precision scissors are far too sharp for this job. Along with the edges being too fine. What happens is these types of scissors will skin the hair as opposed to creating the texture. You will end up splitting the ends of the hair.

It important that if you are going to attempt a detailed technique such as feathering that you use the proper tools. Without them no matter how good your skills are, you will not achieve the desired results.

That made me wonder how long it takes to get rid of the hair. Does it all get done at once, or do you have to keep going back? The simple truth is, one session won’t do it all. Experts recommend that you have between four and six treatments (of the same area) to ensure a reduction in your hair growth of approximately 70 – 80%. But here’s the thing, you have to wait at least four weeks in between. So for six treatments, it would take you a minimum of 24 weeks.

Now I began to wonder if it works at the same speed all over, or if different parts of your body reacted differently? The fact is different places react differently. The experts say you will never gain completely hairless skin, and you can go broke trying to get completely hairless. It is important to go into hair removal, whether laser hair removal or other types with realistic expectations. The easiest way to ensure this is to talk to your hair removal expert.

Now let’s suppose I decided to do this, the next thing I need to do is find out about the cost. The prices will differ depending on your location, and what body part you have done. The common range is about $200 – $500 per session. So for the six sessions it takes to gain 70% reduction in hair growth, that’s about $1200 – $3, 000. However there’s more, you can also have touch-ups done. They tend to range in price around $100 – $150.

It is worth mentioning that this is a medical procedure. A lot of people don’t consider this a medical procedure. She has to understand the difference between a balzo and a snood, the curl and the braid . She must know why a cornrow is a cornrow and why people in 18th century wore hairs as high as a nest. Without hairs, everyone is a roundhead. It is hairs that make a person famous.

Emo is basically a style followed these days by the youth. The term has its roots in the emotional hardcore music started by Rites of Spring, a band in 1980s and now has evolved into something else. The term has its roots in emotional, and it is a term adopted by the youth today to describe their edgy and emotional state which is reflected in their attire as well as their hairstyles.

You may have encountered Emo hairstyles. They are the height of fashion for the young people and you see them everywhere. One would really consider all hairstyles that display a lot of attitude and individualism as emo, though purists are quite rigid about what emo styles are all about. Though emo hairstyles are all about individuality, there are a few characteristics all of them have in common. Most of them have bangs and fringes. Some fringes are long and cover the eyes, or at least one of them. Others are swept to one side. Yet others are short and cut into angular, edgy or pointy shapes. Girls often go for a feathered cut with choppy bangs.

Colored hair is one of the traits of emo hairstyles. The popular colors are black, deep blue, purple, metallic brown and and even dark white. These colors form the main base of the hair. This is then contrasted by vibrant colors like pink, red, orange, yellow.

Another common characteristic of this style is that the hair is not tied. It is flowing unrestrained and worn in a way that can be classified as unruly and with a lot of attitude. Some emo youth was their hair frequently and others go for weeks with unwashed hair.

Like explained earlier, the hair is raven black or dark and so is the attire which is again black based, almost Goth, I would say, but it is contrasted with a lot of color and layers of different clothing. Think dark colored skirts with bright colored tights, paired with shirts having bright red and white checks for girls, dark skinny jeans with tighter (if possible) tees, which when piercings, lots of mascara for both boys and girls. That is the outward appearance of an emo youth. This of course goes with the hairstyle which is such an important part of the emo look. The look is completed with a pair of Converse all star or Vans tennis shoes. This may be further accessorized with a large quantity of jewellery, bracelets, ear rings, piercings on the eyebrow or lip, necklaces etc, and a hoodie.

An emo hairstyle and attitude, unlike the rebellious expression of youth in older days, has nothing to do with violence and angst. Emo youth would go out of the way to tell us that emo styles are an outward expression of their creativity, their feelings and individuality. It is, like the hippies of the sixties or the Goths of the eighties, a lifestyle, a culture, a generational thing the youth of today are going through.
